To be continued

It’s not everyday you would find anyone saying this, but we have a 4 day week, can I hear an *Amen* and here goes ↓

Quote of the day!

Living with integrity means: Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships. Asking for what you want and need from others. Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension. Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values. Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe ~ Barbra De Angelis

Just that Friday

Thank God It’s Friday … woke up feeling bad, like MJ *Michael Jackson* bad, and who came up with that line anyway? Well I went to the clinic and I was told it’s fatigue plus an oncoming or midway cold. Wow! That “cold” was to justify my symptoms … lol.

Random thought

Coincidence is such an underrated word. Like what are the chances that things happen by coincidence? Like you say something that I had just thought, or do something that I had just done. Or meet someone who you needed in one way or another and they also needed you and you’re just it! Coincidence is probably God’s way of coming to our rescue.

I’m feeling

Miss Pout was me, but I think I should be done with this feeling from today.

This weekend

I need to relax … take a chill pill, preferably think less about stuff. In this case you should be expecting quite a couple of blonde tweets and statements…lol

I’m craving

That chicken! Yummmm!

Songs of the week

Sweet and mellow … it’s gotta be Gavin DeGraw, just suits my mood …

I want and pray

For a peace of mind. To get used to my schedule and to be able to do my stuff with ease … no stress! I mean if others have done it, why not me, so no more pouting.

Super Duper Friday

Thank God It’s Friday … like finally! This week has been my “Worst Week” and boy am I glad it’s over! And I’m so over it, more like I’m now on top of things, don’t have much of a choice though … bending over is what it’s been about.

Random thought

They say procrastination is the mother of all screw ups … just in case you were wondering who the father is? I just found out it’s assumption. And they bore kids who can be very annoying *kids names withheld*

Found this quote particularly interesting, “Expecting life to treat you well because you’re a good person is like expecting an angry bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian” ~ Shari. R. Barr. So you’ve got to be macho all the time, because there’s no time it’s ever going to be fair.

I’m feeling

This weekend

Chill mode and my baby sister is in the mix … I’ve missed watching movies with her and being educated on the new stuff … music-wise, fashion-wise, movie-wise  and yeah she’s younger and in boarding school, so I just wonder where she gets all this 411 from. Kids for nowadays…tsk! I love that girl to bits!

I’m craving

For something different! I can’t quite place a finger on it. This sure does look different, but I’m using it as my lucky charm to get my craving :p

Songs of the week

Beyonce – Schoolin’ Life —-> It’s a song totally worth replaying!

I want and pray

I want to thank God for everything I’ve got … Great family, good friends, comfortable life, I mean it’s never that easy but the better part of my life is AWESOME. So I just want to say a  BIG THANK YOU!

You know, sometimes when good stuff happens to me, I usually think that’s definitely my mum’s prayer being answered. She’s my role model, my best of friends and I pray for her to enjoy life the most and for God to grant all her hearts desires, she totally deserves it.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Life is what you make it. Always has been, always will be. ” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

Have a super duper weekend. Spread the love and smile because you never know who could be falling in love with it :)

Of Signs, Love and Life

Random thought : Do you ever think that God sometimes has some serious laughing moments when he listens to our thoughts?

Now, now, now where to begin! This is one of those posts I have been wanting to write for the longest time but I never know exactly how to. I know you’re probably wondering why, well, that’s because it’s about life, love and the irky relationships. If you’ve read my post before, you probably know that I’m one of those people who’s big on relationships and love, but umm not any more.

I have just come to the conclusion that I don’t understand the whole concept of relationships and chances are that I was probably not cut out for it, but since I most definitely don’t want to be a nun or celibate, I will need to figure it out some day *read sooner than later*. You know how sometimes you want to try figure yourself out without having to ask others, yeah, that’s was an epiphany I had, now that sometimes my mind is usually on an overdrive.

Ever heard of the zodiac signs?

The signs of the Zodiac can give us great insights into our day to day living as well as the many talents and special qualities we posses where you can discover a great deal of relevant information about yourself, get to know things like why you are so attached to your possessions or why you are so emotional and so on.

You can also learn as much as you can about the traits of the different sun signs and make your life flow smoother because you understand the motives behind Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra , Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. In case you didn’t know there are 12 of them.

The funniest thing is that I used to think that these zodiac signs are the most stupid things ever. Until I grew up I got myself reading through my dear zodiac sign, Aquarius! And 3/4 if not all the things I was reading I was left in awe because that’s so me, I was like this O_O the whole time. Of course there’s those one or two things where I’m a bit different thanks to factors such as family, background, experience and so on. Then I started reading others peoples signs and I’m like, “Jeez! If I had read this stuff before”. Then I would know what I am getting myself into when dating or befriending some people and maybe it would’ve been much much easier than it was.

And the more I read them, the more I’m like how do people with such different traits even manage to be together … It’s just depressing. You know how a person whose a loner “ingoing” dates someone who’s outgoing … And the loner wants time to themselves and this other one wants to hang out with the loner (of course it would end up being annoying for both) or if it’s two loners then they’ll stay apart because they all want to be alone, if it’s two outgoing guys then there’s going to definitely be something wrong somewhere because there needs to be one who’s a bit relaxed (I’m just guessing) … see why I say I don’t get this! This is just one very random complex example.

Hahaha *evil grin* So of late I’ve been asking my friends their birthday dates or for the ones that I know, I have checked out some of their traits from the zodiac signs and guess what … some are totally matching *scary huh* but what’s better than having an idea of what you should be expecting from people? Maybe it will make disappointment easier to handle, or at least you will know what it is about them that’s going to disappoint you or make you happy and if your traits and theirs can at least get along and if not, what you need to do to compromise like be more persistent, more patient and stuff like that.

Anyway since I can’t keep running away forever, I’ll have to learn how to deal with the “completely opposite to me” people, dealing with disappointments. Considering I also have flaws, as much as I’m running from certain disappointments, I could also be a disappointment to someone … tihihi! I don’t want to grow old and alone, that’s pretty boring so can this fairy tales we used to watch when we were young just happen … Kiss a frog and it turns into a prince or the knight in shinning armor comes to save this damsel in distress. If wishes were horses, clearly weaves would be non-existent and they definitely aren’t *snaps back to reality*.

QUOTES OF THE DAY  got to be a bit positive you know :p

“Life is about trusting your feelings and taking chances, losing and finding happiness, appreciating the memories, learning from the past, and realizing people change.”

“We think there is always a tomorrow, so why expose our feelings today? Why risk being vulnerable? Why take the chance? Because today, what we love, what we feel, what is real, is what we have. Tomorrow, it may all change.”

Freakin’ Frozen Friday

Thank God It’s Friday but I really don’t feel it. The weather outside spells GLOOMY,  I really miss the sun. This weather is totally not for me, even if I was okay now I feel like I’ll just go under the weather soon, sensing a ka-cough already *sigh* . As I try to psyche myself up with good music … and as usual :) it works wonders.

LOL ... Like seriously ... True story!

Random thought

Some habits should just never die, especially if they make you happy, cheap thrills to be exact. Dipping your cookies in milk, licking yogurt  tabs, eating with your hands, making funny concoctions that get other people wondering how creepy you are.

I’m feeling

Cold … as in frozen shivering cold and as a result my bubbles are all getting popped by the time they are released by my bubbly body. It’s August for pits sake, what happened to the sun? *Points to the image below* Africa and to be specific Kenya, should be warm if not hot in August, what’s with the shift all over sudden, at least nature should take us a bit slowly… if you know what I mean.

This weekend

I wish I could split myself … I want to be in many places at the same time. What to do?

I’m craving

I don’t know if this is a crave or just a desire … I would love to see this view in real life. It just looks so calming and amazingly beautiful.

Songs of the week

It’s definitely got to be ‘Each Tear – Mary J Blige ft Jah Cure’ … AMAZING, you’ve got to listen to it if you haven’t!

I want and pray

I want it to be warm once again and I am actually praying about it … sufferations I tell you.

Maybe it’s about time I stopped running. I always run away when I see things are going funny or weird. Yet again I also need a reason why I shouldn’t run. As usual I am not explaining this statement any further, so it’s a prayer :p … I know you’re thinking ‘what the hell’? He he that was the intention.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Have an amazing weekend, be good, keep warm and safe. God bless you much!

Got Attitude?

Attitude is that small word with a big impact! The kind which they say can make you or break you … in short it’s just all about Attitude! Remember when we were young and we would say, someone has ATT – simply meaning that they have an ego big enough to fill two rooms. Alternative words used were, feeling sweet, maringo, snob and someone will be totally disliked just by virtue of having an attitude.

It was a big deal then, and I think it still is now. If you have a negative attitude people will talk behind your back, they’ll ignore you, they will not involve you in stuff and so on. Although some people who are actually nice can be mistaken to be having an attitude based on things like facial expression, character traits (introverts) … Like have you ever met those guys with a naturally sneery face, or they are just loners and don’t interact much with others … yah that kind.

I’m not one to judge people ok who I’m I lying to, we all judge people (that’s what I think, but that’s a story for another day). At least to measure how much of you, you should expose to them to. *There’s no gutter, so don’t let your mind wander there :p* . You know this world is tiny and everyday you make new friends, rekindle lost friendships and stuff like that and what makes me know whether our relationship will head anywhere the first time I see you is their attitude!

I have formulated my own attitude theory *wink* : 3R – React, Relate, Respond!

This is generally based on first impressions. Most of the friends I have, chances are that I got along with them from the time we met and if not, they really have to prove themselves not necessarily directly, like I will have to hang around them more to actually alter my judgement.

How you react when I meet you, actually even before I say hello. I know this is weird but you can sense interest or disinterest from how someone approaches you. If you have a stern face and still hold it up even after you’ve said hi, you enter under my category of “serious people”, which is not such a good one, if you are jolly and hilarious when I meet you then it gets easy peasy and everything flows.

How you relate with the people you’re with. Very important stuff like if you put people off when they say or ask something, or if you give others opportunities to air their views. And how you respond to them, your tone, expressions. Did you know how someone treats other people besides yourself will actually tell you what kind of person they are? … So if they are mean to the waiters or subordinates, be sure someday they’ll probably be mean to you as well.

It’s in how you say it and how you do it.

As much as we say instincts are the ones which give us that gut feeling that a certain person is like this and like that, I think it always lies in the attitude of the person. Somehow, it’s attitude that gets you where you want to be. It’s like your weapon in a fight, considering that in this world we have to fight for nearly everything … not literally though.

Just by virtue of being a human, you should be armed with positive attitude … It looks good on you and makes the fight much more fun and worth the while because at the end of the day whether things go your way or not, deep inside you know you put up a good fight.

Laure Courtellemont *Dance Away*

This is my motivation for the day!

So are there any classes like this in Kenya?

Because if there is, I’m in it. Looks like so much fun … much more fun than going to a boring GYM and lifting weights or following boring routines and instructions. Anyway, *breathes out* if only I could dance that well *wishful thinking is good for my health*. I’m thinking if I heard she has classes around, I would pay whatever to attend even if it’s just one class.

Ummm and whoever said whites don’t have rhythm, she clearly proves the theory wrong. So, Laure Courtellemont is from Paris (she’s French) and she does ragga jam and dance hall classes. Who would’ve thought? What do you think? So where are all those guys who dance at the clubs? Know of anyone whose doing something like this in Nairobi at least? Someone should open a big studio like in town *hint*

Ps: Those pants she’s wearing, are they just ‘Track Suit pants’ or do they have another name? I should get me one of those. Fashionistas say something!

Her dance classes are now my current obsession … lol, you can’t blame me. So the day I will be able to dance like that, I’ll have to show off  my skills *wink*

Anyhow, enjoy your weekend to the fullest. If you have a friend who can dance … like really dance and teach novices like me how to dance some certain dance routines, tell them this is a very viable business idea … Ragga and Dancehall classes at a convenient location, there’s already one willing member.
