Phonetic Alphabet

I found this pretty interesting, the NATO phonetic alphabet as used by the military guys and also for business and telecommunications in Europe and North America. Always see guys using coded language… and I think thats sooo cool. At least I got to learn one, so here goes:

A – Alpha
B – Bravo
C – Charlie
D – Delta
E – Echo
F – Foxtrot
G – Golf
H – Hotel
I – India
J – Juliet
K – Kilo
L – Lima
M – Mike
N – November
O – Oscar
P – Papa
Q – Quebec
R – Romeo
S – Sierra
T – Tango
U – Uniform
V – Victor
W – Whiskey
X – X-ray
Y – Yankee
Z – Zulu

So to make memorizing easier I was taught to spell stuff, like my name using the phonetic alphabet. Say:

MERCY – Mike, Echo, Romeo, Charlie, Yankee

For messages,

I MISS YOU – India Mike India Sierra Sierra Yankee Oscar Uniform πŸ˜‰

I find this just too cool.
