When Your Mind Questions Your Efforts.

Ever have those moments where you feel like you’re not doing something right or doing enough? Even when you know that you’re putting a lot of effort into whatever it is. It could be at work, where you do what you’re expected but you don’t feel the impact of what you’re doing or you’re questioning your abilities and wondering whether they bring any value to those that work with you. It could be in your relationships, where you try your best to be the best sister, brother, friend, daughter, son, spouse, but you still feel like you could do better, besides just keeping in touch, hanging out with them or supporting them. It could be you, where you just feel like you’re not working hard enough, or that you’re not making enough, or that you’re so far off from realizing your purpose, that’s if you haven’t veered off it or you’re just starting out.

You find yourself experiencing all these kinds of feelings of discontent, and I think it’s okay, because it drives you. It wakes you up and tells you to go out there and do what you love, and do it well. And when you put your heart into it, even when you feel like you’re not doing it right, or doing enough – at least your heart was there. Your mind might make you question your efforts, but your heart will defend you. Maybe that’s what matters.

Life Lessons, The Mind, Love

“Do what you love; you’ll be better at it. It sounds pretty simple, but you’d be surprised how many people don’t get this one right away.” ~ LL Cool J

Happy Friday loves. Don’t forget to put your heart into it, because it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
